TRACE32 by Lauterbach is a comprehensive family of modular debug and trace tools for embedded systems. It delivers in-circuit debugging, real-time trace, and system-level analysis across a broad range of architectures, including Arm, RISC-V, TriCore/AURIX, Power Architecture, MIPS, and x86. Hardware probes connect via standard interfaces such as JTAG/SWD, cJTAG, Nexus, and Arm CoreSight, with options for high-bandwidth trace capture and streaming from on-chip trace sources. The software provides deep visibility into bare-metal, RTOS, and Linux targets, with awareness for popular operating systems and hypervisors, multicore and heterogeneous debugging, and MMU/MPU support. Typical capabilities include flash programming, run control with breakpoints and watchpoints, code coverage, profiling, timeline and event analysis, task and interrupt tracing, and correlation of trace data with source code.
